Meet The MAC System™

The MAC System is a compression system utilizing a biomimicry design to replicate natural blood flow. The system works by providing intermittent compression to the legs moving blood towards the direction of the heart and reducing the risk of clot formation. Click the button to learn more:

Hospital Culture of Immobility…

For over 75 years the consequences of immobility or bedrest in hospital patient recovery have been well documented in clinical studies. Although the literature documents these adverse consequences and the benefits of early ambulation, patients continue to spend a significant amount of their hospital stay in bed.

The Clotting Problem…

Hundreds of thousands of people suffer from blood clots each year resulting in approximately 100,000 deaths.¹ Survivors are faced with long-term complications caused by the damage the clot does to the valves in the vein called post-thrombotic syndrome (PTS). People with PTS have symptoms such as swelling, pain, discoloration, and can even develop scaling or ulcers in the affected part of the body. In some cases, the effects of PTS can be so severe that a person becomes disabled.

Prescriptive Mobility

The transparency and accuracy of the user’s activity empowers healthcare providers to coordinate care amongst all mobility stakeholders. The hospital is a complex work environment and a patient’s mobility status is often not communicated during unit or shift handoff.
